See what your camera wrote into the file: the camera, settings, dates — and the GPS coordinates, which surprise most people.

  1. 1
    Drop a photo

JPG and HEIC-JPG photos carry the most metadata.

  2. 2
    Read the panels

Camera and exposure, date and time, GPS coordinates (with a map link if present), plus the full tag table.

  3. 3
    Decide what to share

Sharing the photo with the location attached was probably not the plan. The EXIF remover handles that.

Questions people actually ask

What's the GPS thing about?

Most phones embed the exact location in every photo by default. Post that picture of your home and you've posted your home's coordinates.

No metadata shown — why?

The photo was already stripped (social apps remove it), or it's a format that doesn't carry EXIF, like plain PNG.
