Create a ZIP archive
Gather loose files - or a whole folder - into one tidy ZIP, with a compression level and exclude patterns you control.
- 1Drop files, or choose a folder
Folder mode keeps the whole structure inside the ZIP — subdirectories and all. Everything you add shows in a list with sizes.
- 2Set the order, exclusions and compression
Drag the list to choose the order inside the archive. Exclude junk by glob pattern, then pick maximum for documents or fast for photos. The estimate updates live.
- 3Download the ZIP
Named how you like; the actual size is reported after packing so you can compare it with the estimate.
Questions people actually ask
How much will it compress?
Text, code and documents shrink a lot. JPGs, MP4s and other already-compressed files barely move - the ZIP is still worth it for bundling, not size.
Can I password-protect the ZIP?
Not in this browser build: JSZip has no encryption support, so a password field would be theatre. Create the ZIP here, then encrypt it with 7-Zip (AES-256) or `zip -e`.
How big can it be?
Memory-bound: a couple of GB of files is realistic on a modern machine.
