What this tool does
TIFF and JPG store pixels differently, so the image is decoded and redrawn rather than relabelled. That is what makes the output a real JPG file.
Multi-page TIFF: only the first page is converted. The decoder handles common LZW/Deflate/JPEG TIFFs. JPG is lossy and has no transparency; transparent areas are flattened onto white. The conversion is deterministic and local: the same input produces the same output without a server in the middle.
Questions people actually ask
Is JPG output really from my file?
Yes. The TIFF is decoded in this tab and re-encoded as JPG; nothing is uploaded or fetched.
What changes in the conversion?
Multi-page TIFF: only the first page is converted. The decoder handles common LZW/Deflate/JPEG TIFFs. JPG is lossy and has no transparency; transparent areas are flattened onto white.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes. Drop as many as you like; each is converted independently and the ZIP button collects them.
Does resizing lose quality?
Downscaling discards pixels, so yes. Leave max width at 0 to keep the original dimensions.
