Questions people actually ask

What gets shown to readers?

The title appears in the browser tab and some readers; the author and keywords show up in file properties and search indexes.

Can this hide that a PDF was edited?

No, and it isn't meant to. It fixes metadata - dates are left alone, and the producer/creator are only cleared when you use Strip all metadata.

What does Strip all metadata remove?

Title, author, subject, keywords, producer and creator. Page content and the creation dates stay.
