Generate placeholder text
Classic Latin or plain-English filler, in paragraphs, sentences or word counts that fit the layout.
- 1Choose the amount
Paragraphs, sentences or an exact word count — then cap the finished text in characters if a layout has a hard limit.
- 2Choose the flavour
Classic Latin, or English words when the client reads the mockup a little too closely.
- 3Copy it out
Into Figma, a CMS, an email template — wherever the real copy will eventually live.
Questions people actually ask
Why not just type anything?
Because readers stop reading layouts when they see real words. Filler keeps eyes on the design, which is the whole point of a mockup.
Does it start with 'Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet'?
If you want the authentic opening, flip the toggle. Otherwise it starts anywhere in the corpus, which looks less copy-pasted.
Can I get exactly 120 words?
Yes — choose Words, set 120, and the generator cuts after word 120. If the character cap then trims further, both the result line and the note say so.
Is the English filler real text?
It is original, neutral layout copy written to read like a finished page without pretending to be a real article. Useful when a client keeps reading the Latin.
