- 1Drop an image or open the camera
A clean screenshot is easiest; photos work if the code fills a fair part of the frame. Camera frames never leave the browser.
- 2Read the structured view
Wi-Fi names and passwords, vCard fields, URLs, email, phone, SMS and geo coordinates are broken into readable rows.
- 3Stay cautious with links
The preview lets you read a URL before you visit it — the entire reason to decode one somewhere safe.
Questions people actually ask
Can I use my webcam?
Yes. The camera button scans frames locally and stops as soon as a code is read. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
It didn't find a code — why?
Glare, blur, or a code too small in frame. The reader retries at larger scales when the first pass misses; cropping tighter still helps.
